General Rule
For refuse and recycling handled by Republic Services, if a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for that day and the rest of the week are delayed by one day (Friday routes will be collected on Saturday).
Yard Waste Exception
The City Sanitation Division manages yard waste and observes additional holidays including MLK Jr. Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Juneteenth, Veteran's Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
On Friday holiday delay weeks, all refuse and bulk items should be placed at the curb by Saturday at 4:00 a.m. to ensure pickup.
