Official municipal pickup timing for Whitehall Township
Trash Day
Trash is collected Monday through Friday by neighborhood zone: Monday for Hokendauqua and Stiles; Tuesday for Cementon and Egypt; Wednesday for West Catasauqua and North Fullerton (North of Grape St); Thursday for Peachtree, Presidential, Walnut Gardens, and Mickley Gardens; and Friday for South Fullerton (South of Grape St).
Recycling
Single-stream recycling is collected weekly on the same day as regular trash pickup.
Yard Waste
Yard waste, grass, and leaves are collected the day after your normal trash day (seasonally from March through December; Friday zone leaf pickup occurs on Monday).

All refuse is strictly limited to the single 95-gallon maroon cart. Place at the curb by 5:30 AM (no earlier than 6:00 PM the night before), spaced at least 3-4 feet from the recycling toter.

Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If an observed holiday falls on a weekday, collections for that day and the remainder of the week are pushed back by one day, resulting in a Saturday pickup for Friday zones.
Yard Waste Exception
The Range Road Drop-Off Center and the Cameron Tract Organic Recycling Center are closed on observed holidays and during periods of severe inclement weather.
If a holiday like Independence Day falls on a Saturday, the regular weekday curbside schedule remains completely unaffected.

Bag Shredded Paper for the Trash
Unlike standard junk mail and office paper, shredded paper cannot go into your single-stream recycling toter because the tiny pieces disrupt the mechanical sorting facility. Please bag it securely and throw it in your maroon refuse cart.
Loose Recyclables Only
Never use plastic grocery bags to hold your recyclables. Always leave your plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and flattened cardboard completely loose inside the recycling container to prevent jamming the recycling center's gears.
Beware of Glass Contaminants
Only clear, green, and brown glass food and beverage bottles belong in the recycling stream. Keep window pane glass, mirrors, ceramics, and drinking glasses out, as they have different chemical melting points and will ruin a recycled batch.
